EXCEL INSTITUTE OF DIPLOMA STUDIES, is managed by Shree Umiya Education Trust, Ahmedabad.The institute is approved by All India Council For Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education( DTE) Gandhinagar. The institute is affiliated with Gujarat Technological University (GTU) Ahmedabad.

The institute was established in Kalol North Gujarat in Year 2008, and since then the institute is continuously developing and emerging as one of the best polytechnic institutions in Gujarat State. Right now in current academic year 2013-2014 the institute is offering following academic programmes as full time diploma engineering.

The institute is having well organized library with latest and useful books and reference books with latest edition and also having latest technical journals and magazines.
